     Wake Up to Burlington!

You can park your boat in our large, private driveway and enjoy a weekend boating on the Mississippi River during the day, relax in our whirlpool during the evening, and awaken to this view and a complete, warm breakfast in the morning.

The perfect romantic weekend for a gentleman and his companion.

If you are boating on the Mississippi River, dock your boat in the marina and give us a call.

We offer concierge service and will gladly pick you up for a lift to the Squirrel's Nest.

You can see the marina from our balcony.

You can bring your bike and enjoy the invigorating challenge of Burlington's hilly terrain, a totally unique experience along the Mississippi River because of our two bluffs. Bike across town to Crapo Park's panoramic vistas.

Our weather is perfect for an Eagle to soar

in the winter chill of January and February.

Mosquito Park - only a few blocks from our B&B!

This park, which dates from the earliest days of the city,

is located at the junction of North Third and Franklin Streets offering a spectacular view of the Mississippi River

as it flows into the Burlington area.

This is a popular spot for weddings and,

in the winter months, for watching the eagles

that soar overhead in search of their daily meals.

Snake Alley - The Crookedest Street

                                in the World!

This local landmark was constructed in 1894 to help horses

scale the steep change in elevation that occurs between the

Jefferson Street commercial district and the Heritage Hill

          residential district.

The alley, which features seven curves within one block was

designed and built by the team of Charles Starker, William Steyh,

           and George Kriechbaum.

Spend time dining at our downtown restaurants and relax with

a view of the Great River Bridge and river front fountain.
